The management has delivered the goods of transforming the student into an individual with sound academic base, analytical skills and cultural values by providing an environment for the student to become competitive, loving, sympathetic and accommodative without compromising on individual values.

On this rewarding occasion, we members of Parents Voice Forum would like to thank the school management, administration and teachers for the excellent grounding that the team has given to our children on achieving the bench mark, something that needs to be valued and does not happen by accident.

  1. DUBIOUS SUBTERFUGE TRANSPORTATION CONTRACT IN INDIAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL JEDDAH (IISJ) MISAPPROPRIATED MILLIONS OF SAUDI RIYALS FROM THE SCHOOL FUNDS !!!

In March 2011 the IISJ administration, on the pretext focusing on the academic improvement of the institution, entrusted the transportation of the students to a private company on dubious contract well covered up by the Higher Board member(s) and the Principal of International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ).

As the contractor did not have any fleet or even a vehicle of his own with him to run a contract of transportation, the school authorities sold eleven (11) buses from the school fleet to the contractor at throwaway price of SR.14, 000/each (Total value SR.1,54,000) and the IISJ purchased 15 brand new buses at the price of SR.186,666.66/each for SR.2.8 million to hand over to the transportation contractor, later. The contractor with inadequate financial background could pay only SR.1 million towards the value of these vehicles. As per the terms the contractor has to settle the balance of SR.1.8 million with 8% interest within six (6) months, after the initial payment of SR.1 million, which has not been settled yet.

Even though the new buses were purchased by the funds of the school (SR.1.8 million), IISJ has been paying SR.10, 200/month for each bus "as rent" to the contractor, as per the fishy terms set. Thus during the 6 months from March – September 2011, IISJ has paid SR.1,591,200 to the contractor for 26 buses, but could collect only SR.759,000 as transportation fee from the students, incurring a heavy total loss of SR.832,200 to the school.

In July 2011, the school authorities again handed over 33 buses more to the contractor at a price of SR.32, 000/each increasing the total number of buses with the contractor to 59. Now the authorities are making further arrangements to hand over the remaining 51 buses and 5 vans of the school to the contractor by March 2012.
Since September 2011, the school has reduced the monthly “rent payment” for each bus from SR.10,200/ per month to SR.5, 600/month to the contractor. Presently 3,000 students are availing the facility of school bus.

  2. DUBIOUS TRANSPORTATION CONTRACT OF IISJ . . Continued . . . .

Following are of concern to the expatriates since the contract is strange and dubious with fishy terms to suit the subterfuge business run by the mafia.
    1. Lack of transparency and unambiguousness: When there was a contractual arrangement already existing in the school for transportation of the students, this community educational institution of Indian expatriates never went through a transparent and unambiguous process in the said contract. The entire process of bidding and finalizing the contractor or its terms, has been kept far from transparency and knowledge of the Indian community including the parents. Each and every step of the deal was very dubious and fishy which disabled the scope for accountability and this has challenged the entire Indian expatriate community on whose sweat this reputed institution was set up and is functioning now. Transportation contractor is financially unsound and does not have the professional competency to handle the responsible job of transporting the students including those in the KG classes.

    • The School purchased the entire fleet of new vehicles by cash payment to the vehicle dealer / agent in Jeddah. Though they offered IISJ monthly payment by installments, IISJ paid ready cash. But when the entire fleet was handed over to the contractor in March 2011, who has not settled the balance of SR.1.80 million yet, out of the total amount of SR.2.80 million, to the school. Besides, the buses are still bearing the name and logo of the school, as the contractor is not legally qualified to run a transportation contract. This exposes the conspiracy behind this fully corrupted transportation contract, to serve the interests of those working behind it.

    • The parents are not aware of this corrupted contract since none of the details are discussed before implemented. For all the decisions, it is taken with the approval of a committee representing the coterie of the higher board. Most of the members of the committee do not qualify to be included in the committee, except their blind loyalty to the higher board, rather their academic qualification or social commitment.

  3. Dubious Transportation Contract . . Cont'd . . . .

    • The IISJ is highlighting and justifying the transportation contract on the pretext that the International Indian School, Dammam has brought the transportation under a contract company. In Dammam, the transporter is SAPTCO, which is one of the reliable professional transporting companies with a reputation of many decades. But the contractor in Jeddah do not have adequately qualified and experienced drivers even. Most of the drivers possess light licences that are not eligible to drive the school buses. Besides the drivers are not familiar with the roads and streets of Jeddah, which causes long delay to reach homes, particularly the KG students, who reach home after 2 – 3 hours making them totally exhausted and even got unconscious.

    • The contractor do not have any authorization to keep all those buses in the fleet as per legal terms. Since he is just a rubber stamp of the higher board, one of the members in the committee is trying to get the "istimara" of the buses transferred to his sponsors name by hook or crook. Besides none of the buses have any safety arrangements and the contractor do not have any idea about them as well.

    • The entire operation is stage managed by the Higher board, which is operating behind a nominated committee (on the pretext of selected members of the Indian community) that is a pure cover up for the operations of the higher board, particularly in misusing and misappropriating the valuable financial resources of the school.

Hence it is the duty of all Indian expatriates to raise their voice against the corruption and misappropriation of funds, with the subterfuge and cover up that is carried out in the form of a dummy transportation contractor, who had already proved his non-competence and incapacity, but loyalty to the money laundering mafia of IISJ.
REMEMBER, SINCE THE CORRUPTION IN IISJ IS LIKE A BIG BANYAN TREE WITH WIDE SPREAD ROOTS, STRONG AND EFFECTIVE AGITATION WOULD BE REQUIRED TO CLEAN UP THE WHOLE FILTH.
